The House Standing Committee on Natural Resources presented its Eighth Report, Bill C-22, An Act respecting Canada’s offshore oil and gas operations, enacting the Nuclear Liability and Compensation Act, repealing the Nuclear Liability Act and making consequential amendments to other Acts.

The House Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics presented its Fifth Report, Certificate of Nomination of Mary Elizabeth Dawson to the Position of Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner. 

The government tabled its responses to 95 petitions.

Liberal MP Justin Trudeau (Papineau, Que.) introduced a private members’ bill entitled, Act to amend the Parliament of Canada Act and the Access to Information Act (transparency). Bill C-613 was read a first time.
