Liberal MP Bob Rae (Toronto Centre, Ont.) made a request for an emergency debate regarding the ongoing violence in Syria. Speaker of the House of Commons Andrew Scheer (Regina-Qu'Appelle, Sask.) approved the request and the debate will be held in the House on May 7, 2013.
