October 3 – A request for an emergency debate was approved

Liberal MP Frank Valeriote (Guelph, Ont.) and NDP MP Malcolm Allen (Welland, Ont.) made a request for an emergency debate regarding the Canadian beef recall. Speaker of the House of Commons Andrew Scheer (Regina-Qu'Appelle, Sask.) approved the request and the debate was held following private members' business.
