Copy of the Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the People's Republic of China for Co-operation in the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy, and Explanatory Memorandum, dated July 19, 2012, was presented.

Report on the state of Canada's forests for the year 2012, pursuant to the Department of Natural Resources Act, S.C. 1994, c. 41, sbs. 7(2), was presented. 

Bill C-44, Helping Families in Need Act, was debated at second reading.
