The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs presented its Eighteenth Report, Changes to Membership of Standing and Standing Joint Committees. The report was concurred in. 

Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney (Calgary Southeast, AB) tabled a Ways and Means motion to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament March 29, 2012 and other measures; and an order of the day be designated for the consideration of the motion. 

The Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security presented its Second Report, Drugs and Alcohol in Federal Penitentiaries: An Alarming Problem. 

The government tabled its responses to 100 petitions.

Bill C-31, Protecting Canada’s Immigration System Act, continued to be debated at second reading, read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration following a recorded division of 146 YEAS and 121 NAYS.
