Government responses to eight petitions were tabled.

Pursuant to a motion put forth by Government House Leader Peter Van Loan (York-Simcoe, ON), Bill S-3, Federal Law–Civil Law Harmonization Act, No. 3, was deemed read a second time, referred to the Committee of the Whole, reported back from committee, concurred in at report stage and read a third time.

The following was deposited with the Clerk and laid upon the table: Report of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunication Commission on the operation of the National Do Not Call List for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2011, pursuant to the Telecommunications Act, 1993, c. 38, s. 41.

Bill C-304, An Act to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act (protecting freedom), was debated at second reading.
