The Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security presented two reports: Report 11 – Bill C-26, An Act respecting cyber security, amending the Telecommunications Act and making consequential amendments to other Acts Report 12 – Modification to the National Occupational Classification of Firefighters  

Bill C-351, An Act to amend the Corrections and Conditional Release Act (maximum security offenders), was debated at second reading.

Senate amendments on Bill C-29, An Act to provide for the establishment of a national council for reconciliation, were debated.
