NDP MP Leah Gazan (Winnipeg Centre, Man.) introduced a private member’s bill entitled An Act to develop a national framework for a guaranteed livable basic income. Bill C-223 was introduced and read a first time. 

NDP MP Matthew Green (Hamilton Centre, Ont.) introduced a private member’s bill entitled An Act to amend the Income Tax Act (travel expenses deduction for tradespersons). Bill C-222 was introduced and read a first time.
