The House resolved itself into a committee of the whole for the consideration of all votes in the Supplementary Estimates (B) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022.

The House adopted a motion stating that the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security be instructed to undertake a priority study on gun control.

NDP MP Rachel Blaney (North Island-Powell River, B.C.) introduced a private member’s bill entitled An Act to amend the Canadian Bill of Rights (right to housing). Bill C-207 was introduced and read a first time. 

NDP MP Randall Garrison (Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke, B.C.) introduced a private member’s bill entitled An Act to amend the National Defence Act (maiming or injuring self or another). Bill C-206 was introduced and read a first time.
