NDP MP Alistair MacGregor (Cowichan-Malahat-Langford, B.C.) introduced a private member’s bill entitled An Act to amend the Canada Shipping Act, 2001 (anchorage prohibition). Bill C-250 was introduced and read a first time.

A Conservative opposition motion put forward by Michelle Rempel Garner (Calgary Nose Hill, Alta.) regarding an instruction to the Standing Committee on Health (COVID-19 pandemic) was accepted following a recorded divison of 176 yeas and 152 nays.
