The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade presented its third report, Bill C-13, An Act to implement the Protocol on the Accession of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, without amendment but with observations.

Bill C-234, An Act respecting the establishment and award of a Living Donor Recognition Medal, was introduced and read a first time.

Bill C-8, An Act respecting cyber security, amending the Telecommunications Act and making consequential amendments to other Acts, was debated at second reading. The Bill was adopted at second reading and referred to the Standing Senate Committee on National Security, Defence and Veterans Affairs.

The Senate will resume on Tuesday, April 28, at 2:00 p.m.

Bill C-9, Combatting Hate Act, was debated at second reading.
